Trunk alignment

Whenever I close my trunk, there is a small gap on the right side of the trunk between the fender. At an angle you can actually see the tail light cover. The left side looks aligned. I’m guessing I have to loosen up a bolt or 2 to get it to align properly. Any ideas?

Check the top right of trunk (when opened as it’d be on underside) on that side for a rubber stopper. See if it adjusts by turning it. I see one near the rear pass tail light (that white button; why the hell is it white?). See if that one adjusts.

Looks like the rear end has been painted before. From the pictures it looks like it has to go down and back towards the rear window.

Check the gap on the left side. Hard to see if gap is straight on the right. It looks like there’s almost no gap next to rear window. If that’s the case? Trunk needs to be adjusted (only if gap on left is not consistent). If it’s not consistent? It should have a large gap on left side by window and tight by the tail light on left side which means adjust it. But yea. Cars been wrecked or what? That’s not factory paint on the trunk deck and corner of qrtr panel

Does it look like it is hitting the stoppers?

if you loosen the bolts on the trunk arms, you can easily readjust that gap. Also you can just adjust the height via the rubber stoppers.

You can PLAINLY see the rubber stop is all the way down on that side, there is no more
adjustment, except to raise it. It needs worked at the hinge, and/or striker. Mine
had a very small gap, the striker was off center, and up too high. Fixed it...

Yeah I tried the rubber stoppers but they didn't help. I guess I have to loosen the bolts on the left side and tighten them on the right to shift the trunk to the right.

Figured it out. Loosen the 4 bolts attached to the bottom of the trunk and adjust the bar. Do some tests by closing the trunk. Just be carful not to make the trunk fall off your car into your rear windshield.

Still looks a tad high on that corner. But much better.
