ZL1 1LE Seats

Does anyone have the weights on the front seats in the ZL1 1LE?

ZL1 seats, no such thing as a "ZL1 1LE" seat, just an FYI. I have a set in my front room and I did not weigh them when I pulled them for my OMPs but they are heavy AF.

ZL1 seats weigh close to 60lbs, each.

How much do your OMPs weigh?

That's a pretty significant weight loss, especially if you swap out both seats.

Very good looking car by the way.

On startup, you get 1 error message, which is dismissable and the airbag light, a small icon on the right side of the cluster stays on, not a big deal.

The remaining airbags will still Fire in a collision, as we've seen on the race track (unfortunately)

Do our ZL1 seats have side mounted airbags in them?

Yes, hence the discussion about airbag lights when removing them.

Those days are long gone. The airbags of today will fire off. The passenger is disabled if no one is sitting in the seat. But if I remember correctly that just deactivates to one in front of them. The curtain and side bags still fire on the passenger side even without a passenger.

The lack of the airbag isnt the only thing that will cause the airbag light to active from the seats. If the sensor on the seat rail comes disconnected it will trip as well.

Dang near any airbag sensor that is disconnected will cause a airbag light. If you can figure out the circuit resistance for that circuit in theory you should be able to make a bypass for it and keep the light off.

In theory....
