buying a new 2018 left over need advice please

Hello,

I am taking a test drive and probably borrowing a 2018 2SS with red line package as a brand new left over.

They are asking 41,000 and the car was a GM demo so it has 1700 miles on it, it went to race tracks and sat looking pretty and got driven around in a semi. I know they want to move it off the lot, but recently turned down a guy that wanted to give them too little. (I don't know how much)

Can anyone send me what is a good price for me to haggle for?

Does anyone know what the dealer invoice would be?

Thanks and if I get it I will post some pics, its a cool car, black on black.

What is MSRP? Should be able to get an easy 20% off an ‘18 since the ‘20’s are out. And 1700 miles is a lot for a “new” car IMO.

I'd say you should be getting less than 41k for a leftover 18 considering its the nearing the end of 19 and the car has that many miles on it for being "new". I thought mine was high that I just purchased this past saturday at 348 miles on the lot and it was built in June of this year.

I bought my 2018 V6 2LT RS for 19.2% off of MSRP last January with essencialy no miles on it. At the same time I looked at a 2007 V6 2LT 1LE also new it was discounted 29.9% off MSRP. There was also a 2018 2SS redline with ~1000 miles discounted 18.9% Hopefully that should give you some idea.

1700 miles is USED don’t give a rat’s patoot whether it was titled or not. That puppy is used and they can find another sucker to believe it’s worth 41K. I’d give them an offer to make it a certified pre owned at 38K

Did they track it or was just sitting there at the track? Cause if it was tracked, with now 1700 miles on it, it means they didn't follow the break-in.

1700 miles doesn't just sit at the track, or get trucked around. That's not a new car, it was driven and used, and no way I'd ever pay that much for it.

17 miles it’s a Demo, 1700 it’s a used 3 model years old car. Walk away if they don’t take a offer around 35

I’d pay 30% off at this point.

IMO, you can't tell me that car hasn't been on the track. While you'll get the full warranty as long it has the MSO I would consider paying the price as a used vehicle.

I would ask the dealer to share some of that good stuff that they're smoking. They have no conscience. Don't let them rip you off man!

Impossible to determine a price unless you have an option list on this car. Not all 2018 2SS's are equal.

You should be able at this time to find a new 2019 2SS for very close to the same money. For 2018 the redline option added just over 2,300 to the MSRP. Not a huge upgrade but did add some nice trim.
