How come so few put fancy wheels on their camaros and why no 21"?

I see vette owners put larger wheels on all the time and tons of aftermarket looks...yet extremely few Camaro owners. Why is that?

Does anyone have a 21" wheel setup? I'd like to see how that looks.

I think many here would tell you the 21 inch and 22 inch tires/wheels on this gen Camaro is too much a wagon wheel look....

Exactly, plus with that big of a wheel you’d have the same sidewall tire thickness as a stretched rubber band... one pothole and you’ll be buying a new wheel & tire. The 20” wheel size seems to be great IMO, just enough sidewall to look and perform well.

Think most agree that 21 and 22 looks tacky. Plus most SS owners buy their cars for performance and a heavier wheel defeats the purpose.
Save the 22s for the 4 and 6 cyls.

Yet I've seen plenty of vettes with 21" wheels. I had 19's on my R32 (much smaller car) and the sidewall was thinner than it is currently on my camaro and I never bent a wheel, and the roads here aren't great.

I dunno, maybe it's the muscle car culture, but even some factory cars come with 21" wheels (Audi A/S/RS 6/7's for example). They run thinner tires than out camaro's do (barely).

What, dipsh*t cartoon wheels that diminish the performance? Well, because I bought the car for performance, not for cartoon wheels.

B/c the stock 20s on my '19 SS look awesome as it is. I'm not wasting a bunch of $ to replace them with something bigger that make me look I manage a bunch of street walkers.

Honestly, I think 20s" are pushing it performance wise. I'd like to have a bit more sidewall if I had choice.

old guys in vettes buy wheels to look cool, not old guys in Camaros buy superchargers, prochargers, cams, heads, headers to go fast.
