Little update we were on the dyno Friday with a 70 mm pulley made 986 RWHP just after this video was recorded in this one you see 963 RWHP on the 75 mm.

I have a 66mm pulley coming today so stay tuned, you might see a true 1000 RWHP Stock bottom end ZL-1

Enjoy https://www.facebook.com/jannettyrac...5247689470669/

I'd say about 1005 would be my guess. Nice work Ted and maybe a degree more timing to spike the ball past the goal line if needed.

Sorry to here about the belt slippage and breakage.. Its to bad the XDI is in the way of the crank pulley..

70mm is 2.75 that's awful tiny on making that much power..

Guess you could always port the heads or change the cam profile to make a 1000 hp pkg. with this badazz setup.

I'm kinda glad I went eforce now it looks like I would of ran into this problem trying to reach my goals reliably.

Absolutely no breakage, simple belt slip, the 916 RWTQ is pretty impressive to say the least.

We are going to try a different compound belt and if that doesn't work we are going 10 rib.

Ted.

Yea pretty much with your highly specific and highly specialized goals I am fairly sure there was only one solution for you this entire time especially through a manual.

My bad I thought i saw a piece flapping looking back at video it was just paint or wording on belt.

also 66mm pulley is 2.5 wow even smaller!

what other choices you have other than..

Gates Green back
Goodyear gator
and Gates RPM

maybe the gator back since it has the rib sliced to go around pulleys better?

I've never had any slippage with the Green belts. Now that I'm running Griptec pulleys I doubt I'll see any even when I do run the 70mm which would put me about 18 psi or so.

I will have to check.

Off the top of my head:

70mm - 15-16psi
75mm - 12-13psi
80mm - 10-11psi
85mm - 8-9psi

Compared to the 2650, I assume that it will be 2-3psi lower with every pulley right?

@TedJannetty do these boost levels seem right on the 2300 and how do they compare to the boost levels on the 2650?

Sounds about right but there are many variables that affect boost readings.

Yes the 2650 will move more air with same pulley at 2300

Ted.

A little suggestion for people considering the XDI and this blower or other 2650s... I know this will come up.. And your not always gonna have access to a 9k fuel system to give them an answer..

Might be a good idea to test the following.....

XDI pump, LT4 oem High Side, Cam lobe, and Lt4 injectors (figure how far this combo will take you) *power lever could save 4k on injectors and may make enough power to satisfy customers.

Same as above with plus 30lb save customer 2k going with FIC of course

anyway just a thought!
