I didn't have a strut brace and I wasn't sure if it would have fit anyways. I thought I saw someone who had one installed with the Edelbrock eForce.

I am going to try my GM Performance CAI. I know there's not much love for that piece on C6, but I think it looks much better than the stock box. Edelbrock says the kit is warrantied as long as the car is bone stock and the GM Performance CAI was installed by the dealership...so... Someone else said it caused a check engine light.

The GMP CAI will throw your maf calibration off. So if you are not going to tune for it then I would leave it as is.

Agree with KingLT1 here, the car that Edelbrock developed their canned tune with probably had the stock airbox on it.

tune

Seems a constant fight to tell people the maf tables require changing for gmpp cai.so we no longer have a stock tune.seemed reasonable advice to give Paris stick on stock box and keep canned tune keep warranty. But the question remains does edlebrock who requires your stock tune keep the maf tables in your canned tune.i wouldn't say a thing but he is experiencing issues just verify with edlebrock all I'm saying.i dont even know if it would be required or different as when he had on gmpp Cai with blower he used the different elbow Wich might make it more like stock. Probably end up at a tuner.

For What It's Worth

I reinstalled my GM CAI and took it out for a short 5 mile drive and you all are right...the Edelbrock tune is set up for a bone stock CAI. I have found that the Green filter supplied with the SC kit must be worth something in power, but otherwise the car was stock before the tune. Anyways, the car did not run right at all and so, I did not push it or drive it very long. When I returned the stock CAI it ran perfectly and very strong.

There's something to be learned here...the GM Performance CAI is actually doing something (contrary to what some believe) and I firmly believe it is a performance gain if you do the Chevy tune to go along with it. I'm assuming the GM CAI with the Edelbrock tune was running lean as more air is provided. Anyway, My car is awesome with the new found power. I can hardly wait to get it to the track.

I have 305 MT drag radials on 18 inch rims. I'm not sure how tall they are, but I'm hearing SCed cars like a 28 inch tire. None of the local tracks are open as far as I know. Gonna check Memphis for Friday night.
