Seems like the money saved on a cam swap could go towards a fuel system maybe come out better if its a number someone is shooting at?
There is more to making a big number then meets the eye.

I have seen such huge gains with a cam and blower combo it makes no sense to stay with the stock cam.

The stock cam really restricts both air flow and fuel flow.

We tried it against my better judgement, we made great power on the dyno for 6 seconds 740s but failed measurably on the road coarse with uncontrollable over heating of both coolant and oil.

Car came back and I was given cart blanch to do it my way.

We, changed the cam, slowed the blower down, made over 800 and then proceeded to go out and set a track record, win several events along with the championship in his division.

Some Ideas sound good on paper but more often than not are bad ones.

Ted.

I have a pulley and tune on mine, runs good, but I already want more.. lol
I also looked into just putting a 2650 on mine, but after some research I deceided, to do cam, heads, new oil pump, low side fuel pump booster etc. along with it. With an aftermarked camshaft you will address the fuel issue. The high pressure pump is driven by a camshaft lobe, that can be increased with a different cam.
If you don't have anyone around you, that is capable to work on your motor, there is a guy in Austria that does great work on LS and LT engines. Google Heinz Schenk ccrp https://www.coolchevy-raceparts.com/...e-contact.html

Do you have a ZL1, or SS?
Your profile says 2020 SS...
I have a 2SS with 1le style mods, but I want a 2021 Zl1

I found all the inefficiencies and eliminated them which rewarded us with a very efficient power package that will maintain max performance under the most grueling venues.

Reliability is at the forefront of my decisions on part selection.

No pullies, No porting, not aftermarket heat exchangers, interchillers needed.

The more stuff you change the more risk you induce.

Your 95 octane is the same as our 91 octane so you will be knock limited no matter what you choose and more boost will hurt you more than help you.

I am bringing over 40 years of building performance vehicles to the table here, What you do with the information is up to you.

Ted.
Your JRE 125rwhp video confinced me (I see your videos for years now), the only problem is fuel...I don't have E85 here in Italy, max that I can find is 100 OCTANE fuel or like 95 OCTANE fuel + octane additive idk, but in your video car took over 60 rwhp (not bad, onestly I would be satisfied). Why porting a blower could give problems?

Ted, I think your 75 rwhp with ATI pulleys + 100 rwhp package with 95mm TB will be perfect.
Only one concern is to tank the car and find a dealer who ships TORCO to Italy, alternatively I have DOMINATOR Octane Boost by AMSOIL

Nice! 6hrs south of me.

If you can't find 98, or 100 octane, there is a company in Austria that imports and sells Boostane.

I can highly recommend Ted's remote tuning.

No issues with porting the blower. It's going to make it more efficient and produce more power, its the best thing you can do to the stock blower.

I am going to have to put a note on that package that it DOES NOT REQUIRE E85, it will run on any premium fuel 91 octane or better just like stock.

Ted.

Man, I'm so glad I read this forum daily as I prepare to take possession of my ZL1 here. Cause now I know that our 95 is more like 91, We also carry Benzene 95, which according to the table on Wiki, yes, I'm reading wiki for information on my new ZL1..., is more like the US' 95 Octane rating. But this is not widely available. I have to search for it here in Udon Thani, but Bangkok I've seen it. It's looks that I'm going flex fuel sooner than I thought. So E85 and Stateside gasohol 91 is the best I'm probably going to be able to mix up on an availability basis. I'm guessing after I take possession, I'll shoot an email.....
