Question need your advice on brake pads

Its time to change my pads, right now i have the hawk performance ceramic pads at first the pads sounded like a freight train every time i brake. however after awhile of driving the freight train sound went away. I was thinking of getting ebc yellow stuff brake pads or should i just go back to stock? Just wanted to know if guys have these ebc yellow brake pads on your camaro what what are the pro cons or just skip these altogether.

Interesting, because I just installed Hawks Ceramic Pads (yellow) and they are as quite as stock if not even more quite.

I run EBC Yellows. They see street, auto-x and track duty. I like em, they last for quite a while, have good bite, are quiet, and don't take long to warm up. The only "issue" I've had are in coooold temperatures (freezing or below) they need a couple seconds of moderate braking to take the chill out of em to work (you can actually feel the brakes start to bite as they warm up). You should kinda expect that on any "performance" pad though...they wont like cold.

As for your squeeking, that's kinda typical too (though I have no experience with Hawk directly). Some pads come with a break-in layer that can be quite noisy.

I installed Hawk ceramic pads and love them. I would not run any other brake pad!! If you follow the bedding process when you first install your pads and make sure you clean and ruff up the surface of your rotors you will not get any noise. I done that and could not be happier. No noise what so ever and great stopping power.
