Finally got around to "hardwiring" the battery tender, by bolting in the ring terminal, should make it easier to hook up next winter. After I was done that, the road called to me, lol. First time driving it since about November, almost didn't wanna go back home.

So glad to hear that our brothers and sisters in the northern areas are able to get their cars out and enjoy them. Rainy here in central Texas this weekend.

Yeah, lame, anyone worried about gas prices has no business buying a V8 Camaro... I don't give a shit if gas goes up to $10/gal, I'm still feeding my SS 91 Octane (can't get 93 Octane in Kommifornia)... If you can't afford to feed it, you had no business buying it...

So we got our vert Jan 2, 2021. Drove it a few miles. Put a cover on it...(no room in the garage)... where it stayed for 2 months. The last 2 weeks or so I uncovered it and took it out a few days just to run up some miles. Charge the battery etc...
I also put winter wheels and tires on it right away so we could use it in winter. My wife took it to work a few days. But this weekend we took it to my folks. A 40 mile ride on the interstate. We had done it once on the stock wheels and tires. Man... Seems the winter tires are out of balance. Never noticed running around local but getting over 65 the vibration starts and keeps getting worse until 80+ where it starts to even out. Took some of the joy out. Still didnt want to stop driving it though. I dont think Ill take the tires to rebalance before swapping the summer tires back on. Then Ill get the winters balanced before putting them away for the season. Maybe I should give Tire Rack a call in case one of the tires has an issue. We havnt put 600 miles on the car yet so either one of the tape on weights fell off or they were out when shipped.

Yup, the amount of enjoyment I get out of driving mine more than makes up for the cost it takes to fill it up. I doubt that gas prices will rise more than 50% of what they are now, but with the changes that have happened so far, I guess we'll have to wait and see...
