Okay, I'll bite. Why do you wish they would get rid of the V6 an 4cyl Camaros?

Soooo you started a thread about your other thread?????

In the end, the V8 is a better package. Your solution was actually discussed for the Corvette back in the day for FE. The decision was, your TT V6 is wildly more expensive, gets no more HP and the FE in the real world for turbos frankly sucks. So it lost on basically every measure.

As for you blowing a lot of money on this and having better calibration and boost options? Buy a Super Charger for an SS and you'll be way ahead for a LOT less money.

Your proposed project would only have value to you for being special and likely 1 off.

V6 is an awesome platform but for the money involved, it wouldn't be worth it. There's too many faster vehicles for less money than a suped up V6 and you will also constantly have problems with it as well.

If you've got deep pockets and/or just want something unique and not following the herd, hell why not. I supercharged my old 2LT and it was still fun and loved when people would make faces or get confused. On the down side, you'll be into it for a ton and have a lower ceiling than a V8 would with a higher investment.

Why would you want the ATS-V engine in the Camaro when most people agree that the LT1 is the way better engine?

Investing that amount of money for nothing since you hardly will get any improved performance seems not reasonable. As mentioned by others upgrading to ZL1 / ZL1 1LE or C8 for the money makes much more sense.

The LT1 engine has been banned in all of Europe. While they don't sell a lot of American muscle cars in this market, wouldn't it make sense for GM to consider offering an alternative to at least stay relevent? Base engine to base engine the LF4 stacks up equally to the LT1 and if it was offered in something other than Caddies we might see the true tuning potential of the LF4 platform. How many 1000 plus horsepower GT-Rs can you find by doing a simple Google search?

As I said, it is wildly more expensive than an LT1.

24 valves vs 16
4 cam shafts vs 1
2 turbos vs none
1 intercooler vs none
Machining, machining and more machining

And if you make a 1000 HP LF4.......you have made a hand grenade

If you built a 1000 hp LT1 i doubt it would have much of a lifespan either. And of course a high production V6 twin turbo would be more expensive than a V8. I guess those knuckleheads at Ford got it wrong again replacing the 6.2 V8 with the twin turbo V6 as the top of the line engine in the F-150 (it's not like they sell a lot of those anyways): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g7Q_EmbLbTg.

No, everyone's busy buying groceries. They'll get back to you when the fridges are stuffed and the hand sanitizer is depleted from every aisle in the country.

My advice jrah is go ahead and take the plunge and build a Camaro with the TT Cadillac engine if it can be done so easy and economically! Good for it!!
