If you are only about sound...fine, but to be honest...suspension first based on your goals, brakes second (although the Brembos are very good to begin with), then start adding power until you break something. Fix it...wash, rinse, repeat.
Almost perfect. Allow me to correct your error.

Fix it, Race it, Break it, Fix it, wash, rinse, repeat.

Those that tell you otherwise simply don't know.

I pretty much did all that JusticePete said on my 11. The fe4 upgrade was a real eye opener. Front and rear suspension on mine is solid! I do have the hotchkis max chassis along with solid rear bushing. I can 'feel' what the car is doing and I love that!

Now the power I'm making is useable!

OP: You bought an A6, I'm sorry, so did I. #1 upgrade/mod would be to get rid of AFM. Before that, make sure your car is all caught up on regular maintenance and is in tip top condition with no issues. Your going to have to forget about and not care about warranty if your going to really make a difference. CAI, headers, tune. Leave stock exhaust on. If you want more sound later, then do a catback. I would not go with any of those electronic plug in devices.

Camaro ss l99 best upgrades?

Best upgrade is an SLP 2300 supercharger, couple with 1.85 Yella Terra rockers, retune the AFM calibration and VVT operation with EFILive patch for ethanol.
Utilise the engine's lower compression for charge cooling, run in Miller Cylce when not racing.
Basically it uses existing OEM engineering still CARB compliant yet for all intents and purposes updates to latest Corvette LT4 spec (except DI).
Don't throw swap the deac lifters unless you are racing with high ramp cam.
