Will the camaro stereo play .FLAC format?
2019 2SS, will the stereo in my camaro play the .FLAC formatted tracks?
Also, what is the best way to organize tracks on USB so I and my co-pilot can browse them? Right no I have albums and tracks organized in folders, but seems like we can't find what we want?? |

My 2020 plays FLAC files with no problems. I would think your 2019 will too, because I believe they are the same system from 2019+. I have a big USB drive in my car and I quite trying to browse by album or artist. Now I browse by folder and it is easy to sort through everything.

old versions of the media system could play flac but you had to change the extension of the files to mp3 (an extension it officially supports) in order for it to play. And you wouldn't get any metadata .
Basically, the decoder could always support flac but the file browser is limited via filename extension and the metadata reading may be lacking support for flac. If you're having issues seeing .flac files, you may be in that boat. |
