The screen shots above don't really relay any usable info for me other than at one point IAT's were significantly higher in the second screen shot. Having actual files would be useful but I understand if you don't want to share that publicly.

I also agree locking the converter after the 1-2 shift will be key.
I have no issues posting the actual files at all. Just wasn't sure if you had EFI Live to look them over. I use DynCyl to compare power but I see where MAF g/s or lb/min could be useful as well. Let me know if you want the logs. It appears I will have to email them to you.

If the O2 was bad and the trims were positive then your WOT AFR would have been trashed. If the TC is locking up and not slipping MPH shouldn't deviate much from stock.

Put EFI Live on a shelf and get HP Tuners licensed.

Gotcha. I don't use EFI Live and if the files are proprietary, and a license required to view logs, that won't help.

Send me a PM if you can open them with excel, etc.

You just have to down load the software. No fees for that. You will be able to view what ever I send you.

Just looking at HPT angers me deeply. It just sucks that EFI Live has fallen so far behind with this car. It is so much more user friendly. It is simple crap too that looks like it would take one of the 10lb brains over there a weekend to line out. Help us out EFI Live.

Some theories...

..Bad 02 sensor, car runs too rich as a result
..4C is like a 3800+ in my car, maybe it's too much converter for a car that peaks at 5700... What do you shift at right now?
..Where do you lock it up, top of 2nd gear?
..Are you getting to full timing during the whole pass?

Good points.

We will find out about the 02 sensor by the end of today hopefully.

On E the converter is every bit of 3,800. No doubt about that. I gave Chris both my pump gas and E dyno graphs so I know he set it up correctly. You are correct though that to maximize it, especially for 2nd gear, I am going to have to extend the hp curve. I am shifting 1st at 6,400, 2nd at 6,500, 3 and 4 at 6,400. Same shift points as on the stock converter. Possibly dropping the 1/2 shift down a bit will allow the converter to shift to a lower rpm in 2nd and more into my power band.

The converter won't lock till 3rd. I have it commanded to lock right after the 1/2 shift but it won't do it. I need to nail down the tuning to see what I can do. I will admit that I don't have the most experience tuning transmissions. I am staying very close to the stock tune for now and just working on shift points and lock up.

I am getting full timing for sure. I had to add 4* total to get the car to smooth out which leads me back to a rich condition from the 02 sensor.

As long as the community benefits from my trials and tribulations I am good with it. I have found that we stop thinking when things go right. I learn a lot more when things don't go my way.

You sound like you were in the service. Great attitude, and a thank you from a submariner NUC for what you do for the LSx community.

Did you notice unequal fuel trims when you logged?

My WB in the pass side (bank 2) started reading 9.0 down to 7.0 static the other day before I had the converter put in. I figured the WB took a crap on me. When I picked the car up I logged it to see if there were any anomalies and I noticed that bank two (side with the WB) LT's were +29. We put the car back on the lift and checked the connections and all was well. We swapped the 02 to bank one after checking the fluid levels and re-logged. Bank 1 LT's were now +29 and the WB was reading pretty clean in bank two. Leaving all the fueling tables alone at the track the WB was reading 11.8ish from the normal 13.0. I tried deleting out the 02's but EFI Live does now allow this fully. I took a stab at it and lost. Lesson learned.
