Mine started about a month ago. Thought I was out of my mind. Have had the car for 5 years. No problems until now. 2011 2SS RS

Anyone come up with an idea?

Did you recently replace the car battery and lose the door lock settings you had previously on the car during a battery replacement?

Nope. No changes to the car recently. Knock on wood, it's been very reliable. Just this weird door lock thing. As a matter of fact, it did it again last night. I did double check the door lock settings and they are all "off".

Family member using the ONSTAR Phone App and the lock car feature to lock it up at night or play joke on you? ;-)
... If not maybe the Body Control Module (BCM) is acting up -or- disconnecting the car battery for a while may reset back to normal behavior?
An experiment to try with a window DOWN is to leave ALL KEY FOBS in the car - that is suppose to override and prevent the car from trying to do any Passive Lock on the doors.

I am pretty sure no one is hitting the door lock down with the window down...since it's happened with the windows in the up position.
What do you have the Auto Door Unlock set to ?
This allows selection of which of the doors will automatically unlock when the vehicle is shifted into P (Park) (automatic transmission) or when the key is removed from the ignition (manual transmission). Press the MENU/SELECT knob when Auto Door Unlock is highlighted. Turn the knob to select All Doors, Driver Door, or Off.

Still no luck

I did the battery disconnect last weekend. Thought maybe it worked. But this morning, the same thing-locked on it's own. Quite an odd anomaly.

Don't leave keys in car...problem solved. If your car gets stolen and you leave your keys in the car that is on you. Make somebody work for it if they really want to steal your car.

I have not checked the manual. But, my 2012 will not auto lock unless it is switched on or running. Never just sitting there

After I realized I wasn't the one accidentally locking the car in my garage, I do take the key out. While that does solve a problem, it does not solve THE problem. I can deal with not leaving a key in it. I only worry what uncommanded thing it starts doing next.

My 2011 started doing this a few months ago. I haven't changed any door lock settings.
