I'm planning on doing some basic bolt ons and a tune on my 2023 automatic 1LT Camaro 4cyl. I've been scouring spec sheets and forums but I'm unsure where my limits are still. I believe the transmission in my car is the 8L45, which I'm more worried about taking power than the engine. The only number I've been able to find from Chevy on this transmission is 308 crank hp but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Those who know a lot about this transmission or have modded their auto 4cyl Camaros what are your results? How much power can this car take?

GM's transmission designation convention calls for the number of forward gears, followed by a single letter indicating the mounting direction (longitudinal [L] or transverse [T]), then, most importantly to you, the maximum torque rating in Newton-meters.

This does not mean the transmission can't take more, for example, the 8L90 that I have was used in four digit horsepower builds exceeding 800 lb-ft of max torque, but this is for people okay with pushing their luck.

Here is a makeshift table with 6th gen Camaro automatic transmissions, I marked yours up in bold.
