9’s N/A in the summertime

Ok, so first I want to say is the converter immediately locked, unlocked, locked back up, then short shifted into 4th on these two passes and didn’t get to make a 3rd pass with the trans tune fixed. Tuner and I believe that it would’ve ran a 9.6 that night If they wouldn’t have shut the track down a half hour early. But needless to say, I’m happy with it for only have 3 passes on the car in the summertime, trans doing what it did, and the car weighing 3,660-3,680(full factory interior, a/c, wipers, etc) depending on how much fuel is used driving to the track. Still another .1 in thw 60’ as well. But for N/A sbe that I can drive to and from the track and run 9’s is a plus in my book.

It’s us41 for the track and for the mods, it’s a fbo, cid heads from Cesar Tellez, Custom grind from Martin Smallwood, hi ram, pump e85, dumped x pipe with mufflers at the rearend, 6FPX converter.

Thanks man, I appreciate it! It’s definitely got more in it. I think getting the 60’ down a tenth with the new radials, it’ll run into the 9.4’s the way it sits with this new tune and updated trans tune. I’ve still got some lighter seats to out in as well once I see that slip I want to see with the factory interior in the car! Then once the weather breaks obviously, there’s some there as well.

Dude that’s incredible with that heavy of a car. Congrats . Most guys going this fast are way lighter . I’m trying to be where your at with my car but I have stock ported heads, an msd intake , amd a stage 3 cam. Don’t even think I’ll get there plus I have a 3X converter so I can’t 60ft like you . But good luck and keep it up. Your proving that these cars can go 9’s SBE on full interior

Best was 10.8 at 126 on a bias ply with headers, hi ram, flex fuel and homemade OTR in similar weather, and similar weight.

It’s definitely a starting point. Like I said in OP, the car would’ve seen a 9.6 with this new tune if they wouldn’t have shut the track down a half hour early lol. But when I go back, I’ll have new radials and hoping to bring that 60’ down another .1. Looking to see a 9.4-9.5 out of next outing the way it sits.

Thanks! It takes the right combo that’s for sure. I enjoy the fact that I can drive the car over 2 hours away to a wedding with the a/c on and sitting in the factory seats with the family in the car. All of us comfortable and enjoying it. Then drive it back from said wedding, then hop in and drive it to the track that’s an hour and half one way. That’s honestly what I enjoy most, that and knowing it’s going to go faster the way it sits while still being able to do these things.

The et calculator says your making about 600-615rwp with your mph at 3800lbs figuring your about 180-200lbs . So your making some impressive power with that combo . Your up there with the fast N/A guys . Pray, Midnight, etc.
