You can find him on Facebook with the name I mentioned above.

He said that he ran on a strip, but it was NT and they did not even run the clocks. Therefore his dragy time was supposed to be on a track, not on the street, and that's what I commented on.

often times an unprepped track is worse than the street, especially if it's back of the track stuff.
all i'm saying is: you can't compare your bolt on auto car that is likely 100+ lbs lighter, on a better tire and on a good track - to his car. the 1LE cars are slow. edit: my dragy was almost dead on et and mph when i went to the track. .02 off and less than .5 mph (1/4 mi). i made 3 passes.

As far as car comparison, I do know of an SS M6 with just a few bolt-ons that ran mid-11s, so I was not really ignoring that this guy's car has an M6. Note how I did not actually mention bolt-on times from automatic cars. I just said that 12 was not the expected result for 'FBO' if he was not at high altitude. |

I’d have the heads ported before running a high ram and cutting things up. Throw in a thinner gasket and bump the compression a half point if running E. Could swap them out in a days worth of work (minus porting time) and have stock drivability.
I’m actually thinking about doing that myself…

Was it a track altitude of 2500 or 4800 by any chance?
Since you have an M6, might want to check this thread out relating to the bog issue when drag racing the M6 https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=603315 |
