Alignment in spec but handles poorly after accident--do I need my frame checked?
Hey All!
So my 2017 RS got in a minor collision on the rear driver's side quarter panel, with some of the impact hitting the wheel. Since then I had two alignments done. One before the bodyshop took it in and one the bodyshop themselves did. After the first alignment they found a nail in the front driver's side tire, which I had patched up before taking to the body shop. While alignment is in spec, it handles weird, it's harder to turn left than right, and the rear passenger's side wheel sticks out more than the driver's. Is it worth getting the frame checked? Have you or they changed any suspension components? I took a good hit on the driver front and driver rear and so far I’ve had to change the tie rods on both sides and a control arm on the driver rear.
Here’s one of my passenger side tie rods, the shocks from impact can affect a lot of different components. I also had to buy a new rear control arm as the screw had warped so much that we couldn’t get it out. Check both everything including screws as they can bend themselves. https://i.imgur.com/3KPoJsg.jpg |

If one wheel sticks out too much, then it wasn’t fixed right.

Agreed, you really don’t need to go any farther than the wheel situation. Take it back.
