What are you looking for? Power? economy? Basic? Loaded?
Particular color? Drop top? Coupe?

What's the budget?

Found a couple of 18 SS's on Carvana (pending sale) in the 28K range.

29k-31k for the SS. LT's are below 28K all day long.

that range will get you a newer 2SS or even newer 1SS but get a SS.

If you want power, by which I think you mean you want torque rather than nominal horsepower, you need a V8. Since you aren't after creature comforts and electronics, the best choice IMO is a 1SS with some power upgrades if possible.

You have to get what your budget can afford! Also check with your Insurance company about the cost of insuring a V8 verses a V6 Camaro. We can suggest all day what you should get but ultimately you are the one to make the decision depending on your financial situation. Good luck!

28K out the door or 28K + tax, etc etc.. which can easily eclipse 30K

You want power, but how much power?

To many the v6 which can do a high 13 second 1/4 is a fast car. To others, the SS is slow.

You need to find some for sale and go test drive the different models to see which one you like the best.

It's all about what YOU want, not what everyone else thinks you should buy. Drive them and buy the one that you like.

If I had the choice, I would have chosen the SS 1LE (1SS or 2SS) if it is within the budget.
