I don't know if this was picked up. I downloaded the full res photo from the press kit. The tire size was scrubed from the photo. It's clearly a Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2 (loved my original F1 Assymetric), but the load ratings are clearly printed. 1521lbs, 51 psi. Pulled up the tire on tirerack, the only one that matches those specs is a 265/35R20. Just scrolling down the list, I got excited when I saw 235/40R18 @ 1521, but it's 50psi. IMO wish they'd return to smaller/lighter wheel and tire combos. I know the trend is towards big wheels but the mass reduction going to a smaller set up is worth it. Function over form.

If true, at least the overall diameter is down to a more car-like 27.3", compared to 28.7" OD for the 5th gen 275/40/20 tires.

You may be right, (probably are) but Goodyear develops car specific tires, so it may be a different size with the same spec's.....

I'd be a little surprised to see them stick a slimmer tire than the 5th gen on there...albeit barely slimmer. That said the smaller lighter car shouldn't need as much width to perform just fine.

I wonder if this time, the tires will be the same all around, or staggered like the current SS and RS models?

Also...is there any chance of the lug pattern being the same? I'm doubting it, but just wondering. Moving to the Alpha chassis, I'm guessing it will be the same as the ATS-V, and I don't believe that has the same lug pattern.

I'd love to re-use my ZL1 replicas on the new car.

I'm going to want 19's if the diameter shrunk that much. Like 245/45R19F & 275/40R19R or 255/40R19F & 285/35R19R. If that diameter is true then I think its a given that the car got a little smaller overall.

On one of the spy shots, I saw the tire size was a 245/45r20. I don't think we will get 18s or 19s.

This would be the same size as stock and much taller than the original post. If the car has the same size as it currently has then 20's would be good for me with no reason to want 19's. I don't like super low profile. Had them before on a 4th gen and they suck for daily driving. Not only is the ride pretty bad but you break TPMS sensors, get sidewall impacts and bent wheels much easier. My friend with a 3 series has gone through 2 super expensive wheels, a TPMS sensor and 2 tires just from pot holes all because of his really low profile tires.

According to tirerack.com the 2016 ATS-V has 225/35-19s on the front and 255/30-19s rear. That sounds like really small width for something with 464HP and 445TQ.

I don't know the ATS-V or CTS-V bolt patterns yet, but right now all the ATS's have 5-115 bolt circle, and all the CTS's kept the 5-120 pattern like the sigma and zeta cars. The ATS-V looks to be 5-120 as it uses the same wheel as the CTS-V. I will assume it will remain 5-120 for the Camaro.

So tired of all the complaints about 20 inch wheel size, along with everything they COULD do to squeeze every bit of performance out of the car. WAKE UP!...

Fact of the matter is most people who will buy this thing do not care. They want to look good, cool, want it to perform well enough. Most people who will own this car are not on this site. They are not racers. They're personal driving abilities will not push the factory limits of this car on a daily basis or come close. Let's face it.

Come down to reality.. That's what the vette zo6 and maro z28 are for. Please stop complaining about what's best performance wise on the "generic" (SS, LS, LT) performance variations of this car.

Hopefully Chevy will make another hi-po Camaro 6th gen but we haven't seen it and will not for a while (I highly doubt anything we've seen on this site is a zl1 or z28 equivalent)

Well the Mustang comes with 18, 19, & 20" options, and the 20" is a 265/35/20. They seem to be selling plenty of Mustangs. Still hoping they got rid of the truck tires for the 6th gen.

We should all just expect 18", 19", and 20" wheel options. Only this time, 20 may not be standard on the SS...may shrink it down to 19", while perhaps the RS models may use 20s....or maybe the 20" will just be an optional wheel. We just don't know. 18" will be on the base car, unless perhaps they shink em down to 17s

Hope you are right. I love the change in aggressive profile my ZL1 replicas made on my car (the way they stick out compared to stock), and I'll be looking to do the same on the new car asap.
