Ceramic coating & vinyl hood

Anyone here put ceramic coating on their vinyl hood? I know it’s doable. Any tips/tricks? Downfall?

I have.
Just washed it, wiped it down with some Isopropyl (to get any past coatings off) and ceramic coated it. Pretty straight forward.
It looks brand new.

It'll have all the positive and negative of a ceramic coating. The hood just won't look as matte. It will have some gloss to it.

I skipped on coating my hood when I ceramic coated my car just because I dont care for the deep black. If you ever used Adams VRT on the hood. Thats how it'll look.

Hmmm. Yeah I kinda like the matte look. I’ll probably just use my meguiars hybrid ceramic wax on it. If I end up not liking it, then at least it’ll come off easier through some washes.

I hit mine with turtle wax ice every few months. I like the look afterwards but it doesn't last long unfortunately. It add's just enough shine for my liking.

Gyeon makes a prep polish to use before coating I used that with a finish buffer pad and very light pressure. This removed the water spots. The I just used gyeon can coat. The company I bought it off of said some coatings will streak. I had good results with the can coat it just doesn't last as long. I'm 6 months in and still beads like when I first installed it

Left side polished
After coating
