I want to do the rebates for March too, ( I also get the mustang rebate) but the dealer doesn't get invoiced till after the car gets on the damn train. I am all but locked into April now.

Hornfan and mine were both made 3/11 or so, his made a train, mine still enjoying Lansing till who knows how long.

Some people do it as early as 500 to 1500 miles. The dealer says use the oil life indicator, which will take you to 5000 to 7000 miles. I think the manual says about 7500. I did the first at about 3000. Pretty much your choice.

Ive done it both ways....500-1000 miles I have changed both oil and Transmission fluid (I drive manuals) and other times I haven't bothered. I am getting a 100k warranty on this one (Becky has great prices), so I won't change it till the car tells me.
