Amsoil solved my motor tapping issue

2018 camaro 1ss had a top end tapping noise (sounds like a lifter starting to collapse). Took to dealership where i bought the car , they could not find anything wrong, compared to like car,(same motor). GM sent a V8 specialist to the dealership and he check stuff,(wont tell me what) and he said "normal". Not happy with this i start my research, and the little this GM employee did tell me in his RO report was engine oil could make a difference.
I put Amsoil 5-30 full syn singnature siries oil in the thing and tapping is GONE!

Just wanted to shair, steve hill

Thicker oil will usually reduce valve train noise

When cold (startup), the opposite is true.

Wouldn't it cause more wear on the oil pump since it has to pump thicker oil?

Amsoil is an insider secret.

Nice cure for lifter tap.

Their gear oil, plus their additive can cure differential groaning as well.

Question for the OP - was your tapping noise only when the engine was cold? Did it go away as soon as your temp started to come up? I have a intermittent tap when cold but goes away as soon as the oil temp gets above 100F. Dealer says everything is ok.
