Does it call for the engine oil/filter to be changed at 500 miles? I am planning on doing engine, trans, and diff at 1000. Then again at 3000. It is amazing how much garbage comes out of these things when they are new.

What else do I need to get on order for it?

ZL1 Addons makes custom vert lift points (machined on 1 side to match the beefy rockers). Make sure to order the vert option. They make to order so order a couple weeks ahead.

Do the 1st oil change at 500. Speedway Motors has 12qt+filter kits of Mobil1 0w40 ESP Formula for $105 shipped.

For the top: 303 fabric guard & cleaner kit ~$35. Follow 303's directions for cleaning and prep. Plus two things: 1) get a tear-off type lint roller $3 walmart. 2) get a mini-paint roller kit $6 while you're at walmart. DO NOT spray the 303 fabric guard. Roll it on. One bottle will do 2 coats. Have a MF towel nearby to catch drips. The stuff is like clearcoat if you let it dry on paint, and it really seals the fabric well. With the fabric guard and the lint roller, I rarely actually have to wash the top.

Budget $5-7k or so for full car paint correction and top-shelf self-healing PPF at the best shop in your area. Since your car is black, do the whole thing, tonneau and all. These cars catch a lot of sand/grit/dust on the back due to the square shape, so IMO doing the back end is important too. My installer used one large piece for the windshield surround (and put the smaller mirror/headlight/etc. patterns inside). Pay them extra to oversize patterns, remove the heat extractor & emblems, and tuck/wrap all edges so there are no visible seams. There will be ONE seam on each side above the headlights (unavoidable due to the shape of the front end).

Ceramic coating goes ONLY on the wheels and grille, and maybe taillights if they don't get film. But *DO* a full-car durable hydrophobic coating (e.g. Gtechniq EXO) on the entire car, grille, wheels everything on top of the PPF and ceramic. You can DIY the hydrophobic coating if you wish (one $70 bottle will do the whole car).

The Mistress was acquired in July 2017 and the paint and top still bead water like it did 3-1/2 years ago, and the paint is still perfect (due to PPF).

Car cover? Is the car going to sit outside or garage kept? If garage kept then GM offers some really nice indoor covers.

ZL1 add on jack pads. I tightened my attachment set screws just enough that I can take them on and off when I put the car in the air. Takes under a minute to take them on and off. Some guys leave them on. I keep mine stored in the trunk in case I do need them. They are nice pieces so it keeps them clean too. And also, you never have to wonder if they have contacted anything and are about to fall off the car.

I second getting PPF installed. I did the entire front end, rear bumper and side skirts. I would get it ceramic coated. It will make cleaning so much easier. I would also recommend investing in a water deionizer. I bought a Simple Chuck. It is my number one detailing tool. I can wash my mosiac black metallic ZL1 in direct sunlight and there’s no water spots.

I like and get the tranny change but is not going to void the warranty? I going to ask my dealer if he will do it with a letter to back it up. He did that on a 16 SS I had.

Well, it's still definitely cheaper online, assuming these dealerships have it in stock.
