Always wanted some form of a supercar being a car kid my whole life (GTR was my goal) but after seeing the 1LE and being a chevy guy my entire life (2007 build Cobalt SS/SC and 2018 Cruze Premier RS for a commuter car) I had to dive into it! With the things this car does I myself consider it a supercar.

I'll be getting full PPF on the car as well as ceramic coating and tint as soon as it arrives, my question is for anyone else that has done PPF, is there anything besides the hood that needs to be done in the "Stealth" film vs the regular XPEL Ultimate Plus? I know the front lip and side skirts etc are black but hard to tell if they're glossy and use the regular XPEL or the Stealth.Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Full expel & ceramic coating. Even the bottom of the rockers have been covered in expel. Xpel minimizes the sound of rocks hitting the bottom of the rockers.

I have ppf on high impact areas for rocks, ceramic everywhere else.

ceramic and ppf on the same panel is a waste imo.

paint correction is a must under ceramic, but not always needed under ppf, the film stretches over the imperfections and orange peel in factory paint creating the illusion of a perfect surface. if you have a major scratch that can stop your fingernail then that obviously needs to be corrected

Still curious if anyone has fully PPF’d a 1LE and what they did the aero pieces in (front lip, sodeskirts etc) regular PPF for glossy or “Stealth” for matte

I’ve been picture hunting and they seem to be more matte looking on the 1LE. Worst case scenario is I wait until my car comes in spring to decide Xpel or Xpel Stealth.. I almost feel with my car being black the matte might pop a little better

*♂️ Not sure why I didn’t see that lol. How’d you feel afterwards? Would you have changed any of them to the regular Xpel for a glossy look If you could do it again?

I did an Expel Bikini which did front end, rocker panels, then had a 5 layer Ceramic Pro .
Paint still looks perfect even after many track outings.

Awesome! Thanks for the input, just trying to picture how it’d look black on black. Yours pops off the red regardless

Car looks great and protected, I’m happy. Congrats on your choice!
+1 Make sure you get the carbon fiber hood insert. They can pop off and reapply the ZL1 emblems. The carbon fiber is relatively soft and Xpel will help with scratches and micro swirls.
