I bought a set of BC forged wheels for the street and keep the factory stock wheels and tires for the track only .

the tread depth goes to the bottom of the tread depth indicators, not the tread itself.

it looks like a small depressed square at the bottom the treaded portion of the tire.

So just to confirm, the tires are toast once you get to the bottom of the depressed square? Not once the depressed square is flush with the tire surface?

Thanks

How's the traction when they're getting near to the end of their life?

Anyone know the answer to this?

Anyone have feedback for stock tire traction on track when the tires have minimal tread left?

Looking to squeeze in one more track day next week on my stock tires. Tread is almost flush with the top of the recessed tread wear indicator.

Run them until they are corded. They may not be "competitive" but you should be able to have fun with them.

I went with 2015 Z28 rims and the PS4S for my ZLE. I don’t think the ride is much better to be honest. But I do love the way the car rides. I have been caught in a couple torrential downpours and the car did really good I thought. Better than the 3Rs in the rain but I expected that.

5000 miles + 5 track days on some small tracks with tight turns.
4 x 15min lapping sessions per track day. I had my driver side edges corded by the last one.

I don't drive the car in the rain.

Here is a youtube video to see what the track looks like:

9,000 Miles

I got 9500 miles out of 3’s on my 2015 1LE. No track days, but aggressively driven.
