I found my Nexus 6 fits decently well in the door pull cubby thing. No idea how I'll charge it though.

Perhaps you should have gotten the XDS instead...or a Kimber solo (what..buy another...darn...lol). Have also seen some great mounts to go under the steering column, making access that much easier & quick...but will have to see for myself about best set up when get my 50th Anniversary.

Talked to ProClip yesterday. Release date for their mount moved to end of July. Why the hell does it take sooooo long to fabricate a mount. Car has been on the road for almost a year.

I put mine in the wireless charging spot. I'm not that attached to my phone though. I only bring it to play music or if I need to call someone. Other people(my kids mostly), get pissed cause I never answer my phone, no matter how many time I explain that my cell, is for MY convienence, not theirs. If it's important, call dad, he always answers cause it might be a customer.

My S&W Shield 9mm fits in there but I typically DO NOT like to unholster - re-holster every time I enter-exit the vehicle. The only time I would do so is for a long road trip.

Back to the topic - I keep my phone (it's a normal iPhone 6S) propped by the A/C vent on the console...there's just enough room to prop it there and still have it plugged in. If not there, usually in my cupholder (thankfully the normal iPhone fits in just one holder) or on the passenger seat.

I am highly considering getting one of those seat caddy / storage organizers that I can just pick up and toss in the back seat on the rare occasions I have a passenger.

It would be REALLY COOL if someone in the aftermarket could find away to use the remove-able knee pads for storage.

Maybe it serves me right for splurging on the (too big - never again) iPhone 6S+ but I'm in need of a solution. I read a thread where a poster said a particular Spigen airvent mount worked, but it blocked the left console vent and didn't have room for the lightning connector. The phone does not fit inside the arm rest and I'd rather not put it in the spot behind the arm rest where the wireless charging pad would be, had I bought it. The cupholders are currently pulling phone duty, but it takes up both and god forbid I'm thirsty.

So where are people putting their phones (if they want to plug in and use CarPlay)??
I've been putting my iPhone 6+ in the center console, plugged into one of the USB ports, so I can try CarPlay. I can't lay it flat in there, but it fits. I do not have anything else in there right now.

I found a thread a while back and a member posted this product that so far has been the best thing i used for my Galaxy S5 also that it is stealth and saves a lot of space. For the price and the ease of use its a winner so far - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
