I am glad sales are up but IMO the bump in sales this past month is really only due to the year end incentives. Based on the numbers they only increased about 1000 units overs last month sales and year end incentives of 16-20% off will do that.

As for improvements to GT stepping on GT350's toes. . . it shouldn't be an issue as GT350 will leave the line up as GT500 comes online.

I think a lot of people have been holding out on buying a 2016 Camaro until the price dropped to a more realistic number for them. The incentives really opened the market to those potential customers. I'm not sure this would be sustainable month after month but the incentives sure helped in the month of September.
I like many shopped the 2016 Camaro ealier in the production year and decided i just couldn't afford a loaded 2SS with similar features to my 2014 2SS/RS 1LE. At almost 20% off MSRP, the outcome would have certainly been different. I can almost guarantee i would have left the lot in a new 2016 Camaro if that were the case. However, being early in the production year that's just fantasy. Had i not bought my 2016 Silverado High Country 4x4, I would have certainly got off the sideline and into the dealership this September. Against my better judgement, they could probably still snag a sale with September's offerings. |

Spot on! Keep in mind that the huge incentives on mustangs have been there all year long. None of those Base Mustang buyers are waiting for the GT500 and judging by the huge ADM on the GT350, none of those customers could afford the GT500 anyway.

There is also another version available, it will have 12 tires! 4 on the wheels and 2 tied to the front, back, and sides. It's to assist those with leaving car shows. Progressive will discount all owners with that option.

Is it that bad on the other side of the fence that we have GT owners trying to defend what little integrity they have left in a C-A-M-A-R-O forum ???
Seems like each passing day I'm seeing more and more of those people in here. They are welcome to stay.. just goes to show that on the other side... the grass is not as green as it seems. Another refresh for the MY2018 Bustang ? That's like 10 refreshes since 2009 |

I'm glad to see the sales for the Camaro pick up as the pricing falls.
In general, Ford is pretty consistent with refreshing the car every three years, either through mid-cycle refresh or through redesign. I wish GM would take a similar strategy, rather than doing a refresh after the 4th year, only to have the new design show up after another year or two. |

From 2005 their has been two refreshes and one redesign. That is three in like 18 years.......sport coupes don't need, and I don't think owners want, constant change like 4 door family sedans and such. |
