AWD Camaro IS shown LOOK!!!!

look at the video at 1:32 mark http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=408618 see anything? thats right snow/ice setting which can only mean one thing AWD camaro! no point in putting in the mode without it since we all know RWD is totally crap and useless in snow and ice.

Youre missing the bigger picture I think GM is going to introduce active AWD system where when in race mode it delivers most of the power to the rear while when in snow mode its 50/50 power distribution. GM is really the pioneer with these technologies and im glad to see it being brought to the flagship camaro.

Exactly, it just retards the throttle and engine response and modifies the traction & stability control.

Rear wheel drive cars go fine in the winter with the proper tires!

Did you the paddle shifters? I bet it's a DCT too!! No other reason for paddle shifters! GM is so sneaky!

I already have this feature (snow/wet mode) in my 2015 Mustang. No pioneering here on GMs part lol. It just changes stability control, traction control and throttle response settings. It does not power the front wheels

My auto mustang also has paddle shifters

Yeah, its a good thing awd & even fwd came along. I can't imagine how people in northern climates managed with basically no choice but rwd for decades. When it snowed they must of just stayed at home, possibly for days or even weeks if it was a particularly bad stretch of weather. Just sitting around waiting for the weather to clear so that they leave the house (or return home if it had started snowing while they were at work or running errands or something). Only in the last couple decades have we had the technology to allow cars to safely drive no matter the conditions. Truly, we live in a golden age.
