Maybe the sound "enhancement" will be done like the mustang, where plumbing is routed from the intake manifold to the cab to allow pure engine sound in? Sorry if I'm behind but I just saw this thread.

No the turbo 4 mustang, and the turbo 4 camaro do/will use digitally "enhanced" sound played through the speakers.

The v6 and v8 camaro use mechanical sound reproduction into the cab, so you get the exact sound of your engine.

I'm just talking about the new gen turbo 4 mustang. I don't know about any of the others.

Both the 3.6L V-6 and 6.2L V-8 feature mechanical sound enhancers – resonators that direct induction noise from the engine bay into the cabin. Both engines are available with a dual-mode exhaust, which features electronically controlled valves that bypass the mufflers under acceleration, delivering improved performance and greater sound levels. With the dual-mode exhaust, drivers can personalize the exhaust sound, from a “stealth” mode to the most aggressive “track” mode."
I have read that somewhere else too. 4 cylinder engines tend to be quite annoying inside the vehicle. The simple solution, buy the ss and not deal with annoying sounds, lol!!! Which is what I'm gonna do. The biggest issue I'm gonna have is which muffler will be loud enough for my liking!!!

Just to clarify. The V8 mustang has a "sound tube" in the engine bay that amplifies the engine sound coming into the cabin, some ppl have been removing them just to clean up the engine bay but haven't noticed any difference in sound. The ecoboost mustang uses the speakers to emulate the sound that ford thinks you would want to hear based on your RPMs. It is relatively easy to pull the fuse and disable the feature.

Eco did you pull the fuse on yours? I saw the video of the yellow ecoboost with and without the fuse pulled. To me it sounded better without. What's your opinion?

Unless you are planning a exhaust swap anyway you should get the dual mode exhaust, that should do it.

They were all V6s. Some had NPP including that one I bet.

Driving a 4cylinder turbo mustang or camaro with exhaust sounds coming through the speakers will be equivalent of dating a model and you only see her photoshopped beauty while everyone else sees the real non-photoshopped version of her.

You might be fooling yourself but others will still hear the true sound.

I would like a 4 cylinder turbo or better if i can afford. But the first "mod" i would perform is pulling a fuse/turn off the exhaust noises through the speakers.
