LTx ticks even more than the ("sewing machine") ticking of the valvetrain in the LSx, mainly because DI injectors make a bit of ticking sound

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know why the DI tick/lifter noise is louder on the drivers side of the engine vs the passengers side?

Because that's where the HP fuel line is. There's a TSB somewhere out there for the HP fuel line.

Edit: Found it http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...ound-1361.html

The last video sounds louder, maybe cause you are in a garage. But I would it sound mostly normal. Some injectors may be louder than others.

My catless headers make it 3 times louder at cold start but it goes away once warmed up. 30k on the car.

That ticking is the DI, its normal supposedly. I went to the dealer and fired up another brand new ss on the lot and sure enough it did the same thing. My issue is I get this simmilar rattle under acceleration. It makes the car sound like shit. Kind of embarrassing really. My wife and child have both noticed it while driving without even mentioning to them that the car does that. Talk about embarrassing. Do you get this rattle too at about 1500-2000 rpms in lets say 4th gear?

That's probably the NPP exhaust valves rattling.

Yup, same ticking can be heard while driving around. More so when the car is colder in the morning. If the noise is to be expected from an LT1, I can live with it. I was just worried it was abnormal.
