I just looked at my emails.
I found my car at a local dealer like 45min away. I made the deal over email on June 25th and it was already listed for like a week or 2 before I decided to go for that one.
So coming up on 2 months and still waiting on a car already listed as in transit when I found it.
The dealer told me that had an ETA of 7/31 back on June 25th and here I am just sitting twiddling my thumbs

Many of us are still waiting for our 2022 cars that were built in April and May.

It's so weird how GM managed to botch shipping and delivery.

When I searched for cars in a 250 mile radius, about 3 out of 100 were physically at the dealer with all of the others "in transit" which I think means "ordered".

GM doesn’t handle shipping or delivery. Those botched items are on the railroads and transport truck companies. That’s not to say that GM hasn’t botched some things

same here, I went from 3800 delayed to 4300 now back to 3800 delayed since the end of may. it is a 2022 2ss no word from my dealer other than it is sitting in Lansing in a holding yard. my dealer is in KY so unsure if its just awaiting a shipment heading my way or what. I'm glad I'm not the only one in this status haha. I am just ready to ride in my car. anyone ever changed status codes like mine ? i have the black exterior package and I can only figure it was sent for painting. Chevy chat only tells me it is completed and just awaiting dispatch.

GM botched the contracts, was what I meant. They had total control over that decision and it is costing them sales (not that they aren't selling every single one).

In my opinion, since I'm paying for shipping and delivery, my dealer should be able to arrange for transport independently, but that won't be allowed because of the contracts GM signed.

I did wonder given my dealer is right down the road why they don't have a personal contact out there and just pickup cars for their customers. Part of why I ordered from where I did was proximity to LGR

Unions like the Teamsters. If GM really wanted to ship cars they could call around trying to find shipping but........unions

Not sure. Last week was 3800 delayed when I requested order status on here. Today it is 3800 and has an ETA of two weeks. We’ll see if it even comes close to that lol. I hope it does because I’m moving soon (hopefully)

Don’t get to excited. I have had like 5 ETA already and it’s still just sitting in MI lot

Oh I know lol. I’ve been watching other peoples ETAs get pushed but every week lol. I’m hoping mine isn’t one. I’d like to get out of my little Miata.
