The 2650 is what is available now and will be on the market when the 3.0 is available, so people will certainly want to have an idea how the 3.0 compares when making a purchasing decision. Has the 2650 hurt you somewhere?

You are the one that feels threatened by the 3.0 based on your response.

I just typed out that I reached out to Dustin Whipple directly looking for the 3.8, how in the world would I be threatened by the 3.0? I will buy whatever makes the most power. I think the 3.0 will basically be the same as the 2650 (give or take) and he didn't argue.

I don't think any leg humping is going on here. Just a little comparison and wanting to see what its capable of and hopefully someone on here will get one and then we can find out. I don't have a dog in this hunt anymore, I don't work for Magnuson and don't really promote their product anymore as I have in the past. I hope the Whipple does great as its good for all of us if it performs as expected.

For those that have a 2650 now, they might want to know if they they should swap or not. That's me, always looking for the next option to shave more time off. Someone that says "leg humping" because of that discussion sounds like someone that prefers Whipple (also indicative by still running a 2.9) and is tired of hearing about a 2650 for the last 3 years.

Someone that says "hurt" when I didn't even quote them comes off feeling a little threatened by a new product. See how that works?
The 2.9 works for what I need it for. I am not trying to push records or turn my car into a race car. The 2650 is more capable then my 2.9 for sure never said it wasn't. And I am sure I have said this in the past. The 3.0 will probably similar to the 2650 far as capabilities, but from what I have seen the VMP Odin 2650 needs ported to compete with the 3.0 out of the box on Coyote stuff. I don't really care either way. I said leg humping because I don't want this thread to turn into that like many have. If I thought your post was a problem, I would have quoted it.

I don't know what other threads you are talking about, but my response was not negative toward the Whipple or praising the 2650 in any way, so definitely seemed like there was a previously established issue with talking about a 2650 that resulted in frustration or "hurt". In any case, I hope that all of the Whipple's kick butt. I hope Magnuson can come up with something new using the 3100. I hope for all doing well and besting each other as I'd love to keep defying expectations with a PD blower and avoid turbos as long as I can.

Enough with the tit for tat.
Ok I probably shouldn't of said "leg hump". Most of us around here get a long and wouldn't take that the wrong way because they know what I am saying. There were several threads in the past where bashing has taken place. Edelbrock vs Maggie was one. I was just trying to curb the bs before it started because some of the 2650 comparison's started. That is all...I do appreciate your posts.

So, out of curiosity, when is the Whipple 3.8 version coming out? Be interested to see what Whipple rates their power capacities to be.

He never really offered an ETA. The 3.0 will fit under the hood and satisfy the needs of most, so they seem to be focusing on getting that out the door first.
