Here are two close-up pictures for driver side (perfect fit) and passenger side (not so great fit).

Outside picture where you can roughly see outside aligns not too bad but inside is off.

It’s not just your car dude. My 2018 Zl1 1LE looks exactly like yours when the doors are closed. I noticed it the day I picked up the car. I looked at a regular Camaro in the dealership’s showroom and it also had the same issue.
It doesn’t bother me anymore. Give it sometime and you’ll probably not care as much. I wouldn’t mess with disassembling the interior just for that minor issue.

I had to check mine last night after seeing this thread. I knew I hadn't noticed mine being off and the alignment and gaps on all the body panels inside and out was one thing that I was really impressed with when I first got the car. I don't think I've ever had a vehicle with such tight perfect gaps everywhere, and for a Camaro to have better fit and finish than our Lincoln and Cadillac, blew my mind.
Back to the question of dash to door panel, my passenger side is perfect, but the driver side is off by a hair, but where it's so close to the gauge cluster humps, I guess I hadn't noticed it. It's close enough to perfect for me. I didn't try pushing up on the door panel to see if it might slide up a tad and fit tight enough to stay that way, but that's the first thing I would try if the alignment bothered me enough.

Corvettes are just as bad, maybe worse.
GM needs to work on fit and finish. It's 2018. |

Quite normal in my opinion! My SS has been that way from day one and it doesn’t bother me. My 2010 had the same issue too and there was no fix to repair it short of tearing the dash out and trying to align everything which caused more problems according to folks on the gen5 forum. I understand your concern though since you bought a ZL1 but that’s the way it goes now. Quality control for the Camaros seem to be lacking since they moved production from Canada to the US!

Not about being picky dude. These things are 60k+. Mine was over $70k, that’s a shit load of money. Yeah, it’s a Camaro but if you’re gonna price them at 70k they should try and address what would probably be an easy fix.
Seems like it’s shitty craftsmanship and not shitty design on GMs part since some of the cars line up perfectly. Some people don’t care enough I guess.
