I see from the constraint list provided by gearhead the Target Production Period is 4/11 thru 4/17.
Does anyone know the build out date for the 2022’s and when the production of the 2023’s will begin ?? I believe those of us in the 1100 status should accept the fact of ordering a ‘23 when that becomes available. Any thoughts on this ?? Thanks

Also, try searching inventory and e-mailing a bunch of other dealers asking if any have an available allocation.

If your still at 1100 why would you want a 22? If your order gets picked up it will take three months. 23's will come out in June so I opted already for a 23 when available. Got a call Monday from my dealer and he had an allocation for me. I said let's wait and he agreed.

But for me, waiting for a '23 meant not getting the car until after or near the end of our driving season (Sept/Oct). Also, options may change, price may go way up, color you want dropped, or even worst case (as unlikely as it is) they drop the Camaro for '23.

I think I’ll have to discuss this with my dealer. Yes, there are some uncertainties about waiting but that may be our only option. I do have some colors I would be happy with and right now haven’t heard much conversation about major changes. Good luck to all 👍

I’m in the boat of not caring too much whether the car is a 2022 or 2023. I don’t know that the color I ordered (Shadow Gray) is returning but there several others I’d be just as happy with. I think the questions about 2023 will be about certain colors, MSRP changes, options & standards. What will be available and what will no longer be available. If so many 2022 orders get pushed back to where they will need to be reordered as 2023’s then you have that many more people in line joining you for 2023 ordering.

My Jan order just got accepted this week, estimate 8 weeks for production sounds a lot better than starting over just for a 23 that comes with summer only tires in time for winter.

That gives me hope that my February order might get accepted next month.

I ordered on 01/06/22. My dealer has an allocation. Order has not been picked up yet - although he did say it "should" this month......we will see.

I would use it as leverage. Explain to the dealership that they are now essentially selling me a "year old vehicle", even though technically it was built a few weeks before a MY23. I suspect that most dealerships will understand current conditions and might not care, but maybe their muscle memory will kick in and they will think that they need to offer something up to get "rid" of an "older" model. It doesn't hurt to ask, and hell if they agree to anything from allowing for incentives that they normally wouldn't, to giving you some free oil changes, what are you really gaining in a MY23 that you wouldn't have in a MY22? The only benefit I can see is if you go to resell, the MY22 will be seen as a year old vehicle. But if you intend on keeping it for a while, should be fine. |

I’d be willing to bet MSRP goes up for 2023 due to inflation and other supply chain pressures etc. base price of a C8 went up by $1050 this week.

Folks,
If this makes anyone feel better, my salesman who is the #1 Corvette salesman in the country (he has personally sold over 5,000 Corvettes), when I asked him potentially transferring my Camaro ZL1 order over to a new Z06, his reply was “I have stopped my Corvette list (on orders), as I have a 5 year backlog.” Needless to say, I am keeping my Camaro order.
