I track my SS with standard ZL1 brakes every chance i get and have been pleased with the ZL1 pads. When it comes time to replace them, I will go with the ZLE pads. I wonder if the difference between std & ZLE pads is even noticeable on the track?
ZL1 and ZLE have the same calipers and share the same pads.

OEM front brake pad #85115096. OOS at every dealer in the country. I had to put a ticket in with GM to get a set. Took over a month to receive them. They had to pull them off the assemble line I was informed by GM.

I need another set here in about a month if anyone has a connection for that part number.

ACDelco 1711192 are the fronts and AC Delco 1710882 are the rears. Those are the OEM, Factory Installed Brembo Pads.
Rock Auto Price,
$226.79 Fronts
$83.79 Rears

The last set I purchased was about 3 months ago and got them in 4 days. You can always send an email to Rock Auto and ask them about availability.

Brake pad life

How long do the stock pads last for normal street driving? I have not tracked but am thinking about a track day and if/when I should slap some fresh pads on.

Thanks

Apparently car built before Jan 1 2021 part number for front brake pads is AC Delco 171-1192. Car built after Jan 1 2021 part number for front brake pads is AC Delco 85115096.

Can't find the 85115096 in stock.

I'd be shocked if there was any change in pad shape. I believe that is a new part number for the California Brake Debacle.

Perhaps someone here can chime in?

I think that part# change is a different pad material (to remove copper).

So, you could run the old pad on a 21+ MY.

I'm near 26k miles with about 4 autocross events. I checked my pads maybe 2k miles ago and they were belly halfway used. So I'm sure you'll get 40k or more out of stock pads.

I'm not sure what the manual says about pad change intervals though.

I have a 2021 ZL1 1LE in Florida. Is it OK to use brake pads PN # 1711192 and 1710882? Are those the same as come on the car from factory? Thanks!
