Indeed. Will take a little longer to do it vs. the adapter but, got a plan I think will work.

Ball is complete. I’ve got less than $15 into this so, the price is right.
Second pic is showing the weight. Hefty. Just over 1.5 lbs. Need a little time for the paint to cure before installation.

And yes, it’s a trailer hitch ball. Made a little insert for the top to contour it out. Might add a SS to the top. For what it is, I think it came out nice.

You know, that's great ingenuity. I think adding SS, LS3 or something to the top would look good. Maybe fill in the letters with a color.

Quick installation. Used the stock boot ring which my adapter fit through perfectly. Stock shifter was 10.5 oz., this one is almost 28. Shifts like “butta”. Sorry for the hijack of sorts to your thread CPCNY. I looked at what you were doing and just jumped at it.

No problem 0stones0. I'm an engineer so seeing people come up with their own designs/solutions really interests me.

I changed out the Barton flat stick for their adapter since the slammer covered part of the lettering on the flat stick. The barton sticks have a lot of adjustability for height so this is a starting point. I may lower it a bit but the lower it is the more effort to shift. Pretty simple change out and adjustment.
