Help!! DTC Code P0008

Hello friends,

I have DTC code p0008 on my 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT. The code was intermittent..
I found out from the internet that it was a stretched timing chain.
We got the timing chains changed along with the tensioners, guides and sprockets..

After timing chain change, I got the car back on the road and it was moving smoothly with no dtc..

Few days later after my oil change, I got a dtc and the stretched timing chain error code “p0008” showed up again and my camaro doesn’t move smoothly anymore. It’s now sluggish in movement..

What could be the cause of this P0008 again after all the timing chains were replaced?? Please help me with ideas on this fault..

Sensor fault. If you know it's not the chain. Disconnect the battery to clear the code and hope it was just a glitch?

Try disconnecting the battery....the cam sensor would throw a code/cel ...would have to look thru codes to be sure though. You might try a Google search too....if it's been discussed on camaro 5.... Google will direct you to the thread

I tried removing the battery and left it unconnected overnight.. I just connected my battery and yet no luck..

I swapped the camshaft position sensors from bank 1 and put them on bank 2.. Also swapped the sensors from bank 2 and put them on bank 1.. Yet no luck ☹️

My guess is that Plus234 fixed it by getting rid of the car!

Slipped reluctor wheel, its very common on the 10-12 v6's. Simply pull the oil pan and check it.

Hello paul, how do you understand it's good or bad? Can it be seen clearly with removing oil pan? How can i make sure it's the problem? I had same issue.. Timing replaced with Cloyes kit but nothing changed
