Android Auto
I was wondering if someone could tell me about the infotainment environment in the 2023 Camaro. For example, can you listen to the built-in SiriusXm while being in the Android Auto environment? Or does switching to the Android Auto completely wall you off from the native stuff.

Works the same and perfectly well on my 2018, too (even wirelessly with AAWireless). Native and AA functionality is blended intuitively even with the older pre-refresh infotainment platform, you can switch around between native and AA apps while they're running.
If you start an audio player in Android Auto, the native radio/player mutes or pauses and you can resume playback later.

I dont think you can use the 3 screen AA layout and have Sirius XM be one of the screens. I can only get it to show my music player as one of the 3.
**update** sirius xm was in "deep sleep" mode on my phone. Now it shows up in the 3 window layout on my AA. Last edited by classicrockr; 06-15-2023 at 09:09 AM. |

What you described all takes place in the AA environment. You are using the SiriusXM app from AA. I was talking about using the native Sirusxm from the infotainment unit.

pretty sure the system works the same since the 2016 models.. in that you can play audio from outside android auto while in AA so long as you don't have AA configured to start music as soon as it launches.
should be no problem. |
