Yeah, Whipple described it as a coupler noise. If it was an easy part to replace I would be fine with them shipping me one so I could install it myself.

Phase 2 of my build is officially under way. Will be adding fueling, additional air flow and a custom tune. This should get me over 600 rwhp and well into the 10s for 1/4 mile time.

I will be posting up some videos on the install of the parts as well. Any advice on the installs would be great.

Take a look at the video for more details.

Good luck. We seem to be mirroring each other, same fuel system upgrades at the same time. When I get home from work, going to start pulling my gas tank.

Let me know how it goes. I will starting mine next Saturday morning 8/11. My custom tune is scheduled for 8/27. I ordered the Texas speed headers with high flow cats today. Still debating whether to add meth/ water injection now or wait for the spring. What are your mods and which upper pulley are you planning on running.

Right now I am running the stock upper pulley, 3.625 giving me 9-10 lbs of boost. Mods after this build will be, Whipple, lt4 high side and low side pump, jms booster, lt4 injectors and flex fuel sensor, planning on running E85 . Will be using remote tune by jannety. I am looking at high flow cats to be a part of this build. I am still running stock exhaust and stock air box, with plans to upgrade the air box at a later date. Headers are on the back burner. Trying to upgrade tires on suspension in the spring. I am in the minority of trying to keep the stock sound. I do have my Whipple off, sending it out Monday to see what they can do about the coupler noise. If I run into any issues I will post them here. Not really expecting much, so far everything is going as of planned.

Let me know what Whipple does about the coupler noise. Did you record a sound clip? Curious if it is the same noise I am hearing.

I do have a sound clip, can try to find it after work I will try to post it . Best way I could describe it is like a marble bouncing around inside front of supercharger. It would go away when you stepped on the has. But I could hear it from 4 ft away with hood closed. I will keep you updated, shipped out this morning.
