Stripe My Camaro Or Not? ...Post Your Pics...
I'm on the fence about this...........On one hand I like the look of my hyper blue Camaro with all the lines on the hood....They really jump out at you. But on the other hand I'm thinking about the white stripe package and CHANGING things up a little bit to give my car a little more character....
For owners who have stripes on their cars: If I get the stripes can I still run polish and paint sealant stuff over it OR will the stripes start to come off over time? (This is my big fear that they will start pealing off) Should I get white stripes for my car OR just leave it alone the way that it is?

The stripes are usually vinyl. You don't wax them but usually use other vinyl type cleaners on them. If applied properly they don't peel off.
As for the look, they are ok but I am not super crazy about them. On certain colors they look good but on others it is too much. Like white stripes on a black car makes it look like a zebra. I like the look of the hash marks on the fenders. It is not over the top but still gives it some character.

There are only a handful of cars that get stripes and a 6th gen Camaro isn't one of them.

It is perfectly fine, and actually beneficial to wax stripes unless they are matte. The wax filters out UV rays that will eventually deteriorate the vinyl. Vinyl's biggest enemy is sunlight. The more of it you can filter off of them through garaging or waxing the longer they will last.

Also, I personally prefer the stripes, but it is all a matter of personal taste. If you like them get them. If you don't like them don't. I do think that Blue with the white stripes looks bad ass.

Do the stripes go all the way down the back of the car OR do they just cover the hood? BTW, They look awesome!

Thankyou. They were on the car when I bought it. I like rally stripes and they were part of why I wanted this particular car out of about half a dozen on the lot going for the same price. I have stripes on my trunk as well but not on the roof.

I don't have any pictures that do the stripes on the trunk justice but you can kind of see them over the lip of it in this shot.

I don't like stripes anywhere on the new Camaro. I think they look tacky. They remind me of "flames" painted on cars. Like bumper stickers on the back of cars some people like adding. IMO

I had 2 5th and one had the vinyl and the other one was painted. I was much happier with the painted stripes.

It all comes down to personal preference, NO ONE can really tell you one way or the other.
I personally like stripes, it's a nice throwback to the first generation Camaros. I had white stripes on my Inferno Orange 5th Gen Camaro and loved them, had no issues with them. In regards to cleaning them and waxing them, it depends on the material used. On the 5th Gen, the White and Silver stripes were a gloss material, and the Black were a mat finish. You could easily wax the gloss finish stripes with no problem or residue, however, the mat finish was another story, they were a magnet for wax residue which was hard to get off. The Sema picture you posted really makes the Hyper Blue look amazing and is my favorite color combo.
