Well I can attest to the Mazda Miata MX5- I had a brand new 2016 and it is the most fun car I have ever driven period. It's not that fast like a Camaro in a straight line but it is like a slot racing car in terms of handling and being able to change speeds like a motorcycle. The shifter is so short throw and so precise. And the most amazing thing is the gas mileage in that car- like a hybrid- I averaged over 36 MPG driving it spiritedly around town and cruising at 80 MPH on the highway can get close to 40 MPG.

So owning a gen 6 Camaro and a latest ND Miata I can see why they made the top three. Mustang I heard from reading reviews and also from guys who own them how nice they are so I agree with assessment of the three cars overall as being awesome.

What I find even more funny is they called the Challenger a sports car

What's USNews? Never heard of them.

I liked the new Mustang for a lot of reasons, didn't find the interior any better than the Camaro's.

I knew I should have waited... However, the problem with new cars is that there will always be a new and better model coming.

It won #1 because it's a nice car. The interior is killer, has the modern exterior appeal, and it's now competitive with the Camaro. So what? This thing sells because it's the superior daily driver and always will be if GM keeps the visibility poor. I'd hate to see the rage if the PP2 happens to lay down competitive track times on the 1LE.

One thing I learned recently after checking one out in person is the newly updated Mustang interior is more refined with better materials and fit and finish than what is currently offered in any Gen6 Camaro! One thing I learned a long long time ago is never to argue Religion Politics or Camaro VS Mustang!

Oh crap, i guess ill have to sell my camaro and buy a Mustang now... Not!

Who cares? Idgaf about any of this nonsense. If I wanted a fantastic interior, i would have bought an Audi or Mercedes. Lol

That's the thing about cars, there's always something better coming down the line. If you like a certain car, buy it and enjoy it. Just know that in short order, it will be obsolete and something better will come along or some reports will favor one competitor over another. Either keep a bunch of money handy to keep up with the jones's or don't give a rat's and enjoy your car.

Sadly, while true this doesn't tell the whole story. With the more dated Mustang outselling Gen6 by large numbers even before Fords 2018 refresh, I for one would hope to see substantial interior upgrades in the upcoming 2019 Camaro refresh. If improvements are limited to just front and rear facias along with new wheels an A10 and possibly a cheaper decontented 1SS, the question will be if that in fact would be enough to increase sales to a level that guarantees a Gen7 Camaro down the road....Time will tell....Production has already been cut after huge give away discounts were necessary on a very large number of unsold Camaros forced a fire sale in Gen6's very first year, a time when sports cars traditionally sell at their very best. In addition since then the plant was forced to shut down 3rd shift to avoid a repeat, and by the way recent history has proven that GM is fully capable of pulling the plug on the Camaro, something Ford has yet to do since it's 1965 introduction with the Mustang! Let's hope we do in fact see a Gen7 down the road and if we do I will be shocked if GM doesn't go in a completely different direction with all new styling and a design that is much more liveable with the visibility issues fully addressed.
