Some NPP questions and observations with pulling the fuse.

I have had the fuse pulled on my NPP for about 2 weeks now and it sounds great. I notice even with the fuse getting pulled after about 30 seconds of run time on a cold start up the exhaust note get dampened a bit. I assume these are the AFM valves closing. These first 30 seconds or so the car REALLY sounds awesome. I also notice while at light throttle I can now hear it going in and out of 4 to 8 cylinder mode at highway cruising speed. I would like even a bit more control over the NPP and was wondering does anybody know if the mild to wild remote control setup will work on our 6th gens? This would give the most sound adjustability possible.

Your best bet is to defeat AFM completely is using a Range module, Google range technology… They work perfectly

All that does is mimic the Fuse in/fuse out situation.

This won't change the AFM valving so it will still go quiet unless you take it out of the system (with a Range etc). Keep in mind to, that every start will be open on the NPP with this wireless set-up and you will have to push a button to get it back to stock modes..You could always go with a simple manual switch in the cockpit, wired to that #51 fuse socket.

I like my Afm, really can't even tell when it changes. My 15ss was very obvious when it changed. Didn't like that at all. I like getting the better fuel economy also.

I am doing product testing on a new version of the Forza controller ....

http://www.forzacomponenti.com/exhau...troller_c.html

.... that will be compatible with Generation 6 Camaro. After some testing, I will announce here. No price increase from Gen 5 Camaro version.

It definatley changes the exhaust note over track mode once you hit about 30mph. Leave the fuse in and pay attention you will notice the exhaust note gets dampened at about 30 mph or so under light throttle. It will not happen with the fuse pulled.

30 seconds after cold start it quiets up since it's just changing open/closed loop. My previous Coyote did the same thing...

Yeah, it has nothing to do with AFM... NPP valves always start open, then close if in Tour or Stealth

I pulled the fuse Saturday and noticed I can hear the AFM kicking on/off. Doesn't bother me and I do hear the difference.

What I am talking about (open/closed loop) has nothing to do with the NPP valves FYI...

I know...Just naturally loud on start-up. Open valves just contribute to that (I think I was agreeing with you there)

Most all DI cars have a different sound on start-up until things stabilize..
