Yea because he really posted evidence proving that "his guy" is a GM engineer. This forum is plagued with ignorance.

Yea that makes a lot of sense...Can't add anything useful to the discussion so you result to trash talk. Put your sleeves back on stick boy.

He very specifically said the fuel sensor would need to be changed and strongly recommended changing the fuel pump. He did not say that the stock pump wouldn't work. He did say that because it would need to flow more fuel and that the specific density of E85 is different than the specific density of 93 octane, there could be issues. Not would...could. Just because something works on a dyno does not speak to its durability, unless you are running it hundreds of hours on the dyno.
Good info here...

You all should cool your jets a bit. Sometimes GM doesn't do things like put DOT4 brake fluid in the 1LE track cars because it is not as reliable as DOT3 or last as long. Doesn't mean you can't do it with good performance results. Flex Fuel sensor is a good mod but will tax the fuel system a bit more as we all know.

Well. Yea. It wasn’t an argument. It was me messing with the guy who is arguing with engineers over what he doesn’t know.

That’s not an argument. So... Great.

ITS A MOD. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!

I’m done here before I get slapped with an infraction for being, well, me. My record is almost squeaky clean. (Except for the incident of 2016...)

But yea I agree.

You can already run regular in your SS. It’s just not recommended.

No, that's not what it means. But you can run regular if you want, but the cost benefit is not worth the performance loss.

Flex Fuel capable means you can run any percentage of Ethanol and the car will adjust to it. Your car does not do this so cannot run 85% Ethanol (E85) unless you add a flex fuel sensor and tune and maybe other stuff depending on your car.
