I distinctly remember the internet breaking. To be fair, it broke when the 2015 Mustang and 2018 Mustang were unveiled as well.

There was a random leak the night before and it was a shit show. Lots of threads on how bad the rear was and endless posts and photoshops of how GM could fix it.

There will always be dislike for any new model vehicle. That’s just the nature of the beast. I definitely remember people complaining about the taillights. But still it was no where near the complaints of this refresh and overall was positive from what I saw.

Getting the base model SS will have no effect on you being able to get the 10 speed. You’re golden.

Now the paint color on that bumper is a different issue, hopefully that's just because of lighting

If you're referring to the dealer thing - they weren't allowed to bring their Cameras/phones in with them. The photos we're seeing are from select motoring media types that were given permission to photograph.

In other news - I agree with you...I've stared, and wretched at parts...thought more about it...stared some more...
