Recommendations for my daily driver

Getting ready to do a correction on my 14 year old daily driver. Been using Essence and Reload on the Camaro but would like to try something maybe a little cheaper on the daily. Any recommendations on other sio2 products like reload? Just wanting some decent all weather protection with some gloss.

Polish with Meguiars 105 and 205, then use McKee’s Hydro Blue or Gyeon WetCoat silica sealant. It is spray on, spray off.

For cheap and durable it's hard to beat Collinite 845.

That being said, if your taking the time to do paint correction on your daily, Essence saves a lot of time versus using a standard finishing polish. If your not trying to get it as close to perfect as possible, you can just skip compounding and use Essence with a Megs DMC cutting pad and remove/fill most of the defects.

The Essence and Reload have a 12 month shelf life...….. and you wont use it all up on the Camaro before it expires...…. so why not use it on the daily as well?

Thanks guys. Good point on the shelf life Joe. Probably do the 105/205 and hit it with Reload.

I wouldn't use Collinite on a daily driver. It doesn't last at all. After correction you should try Meguiar Ultimate Wax. Its a polymer sealant that is really easy to apply. It seems to last more than 6 months on my daily drivers. I bought the wax which comes with applicator and a towel for about $20. I believe they also sell a spray on version which is even easier.

The new blackfire SIO2 to spray is pretty amazing… Seems more durable than reload and an easier spread......

Just wash the car with Dawn and then wipe on the SI02

I still love a good glaze/carnauba for car shows. Is it okay to apply over the blackfire/reload sio2 products?

I use 100% Reload on my DD, applied during/after drying after a 2 bucket wash. Lasts ~4 months if I park in the sun, ~3 if I park under trees at work.

Glen, I am curious if you use any kind of "booster" spray after you wash the sio2 coated car. I am used to applying Blackfire polymer spray after washing my Crystal Seal finish.

Nope, I'm too lazy......Looks fine to me after I wash it with ech20 rinseless…(has si02 in it)

Recently I've gotten even lazier… I have a new neighborhood completely touchless carwash that I use quite often with just a basic wash, then immediately I wipe the car down with a spray bottle of rinseless/reload mix to get off any water spots…

I put on a coat of blackfire SI02 spray using a microfiber brick about a month ago, we'll see how long it lasts with this new regimen.

What products do we use to clean our cars

My Chevelle we owned for 36 years was always clean but along the way I learned what worked and what caused more grief then it was worth. My dash pad hardened and cracked with the use of armor all, one of my buddies used it on his new tires we got them about the same time and his rubber cracked on all 4 wheel I stopped using it and my rubber was as good as new. Cars only driven in summer weather. So unless they changed the formula so it won't ruin plastic vinyl and rubber . I refuse to use it it gave a great wet looking shine . But over time did more harm then good on my Classic car. Just my experience nothing more
