Can't speak for an A10 car. Helped my A8 with better launch (1.4's 60' with gears and T/C); I think the most improvement came with the T/C with ability to control lock-up rpm with TCM tune and higher RPM at launch. The gears helped too tall 5th gear in A8. Gears may have been worth a tenth in my application (trying to go from 10.8x to 10.6x). Hard to quantify since you are rarely making only one change between trips to the track and conditions are rarely, if ever, identical. I can tell you this for sure, the combination of gears, T/C, weight reduction took the car from 10.89 to 10.63. Good luck.
