SS wheels to 1LE wheels wander normal?
Anyone gone from SS to 1LE wheels notice the car pulls hard to either side? I understand the wider tires will follow grooves and ruts. But the shimmies I get from manway covers and minor uneven surfaces is quite dramatic from the stock size. I am sure I will get used to it. I just want to know if it is normal to have to correct the steering every 5 seconds. If I let go of the steering wheel, it will wander. I have never had a vehicle with 285's up front. it just feels uncomfortable. Or maybe its all in my head...

I went from stock to 1LE size and while I do notice a bit more "tramlining" ...I believe that is what it is called...it was no more than I expected. It still tracks straight as an arrow on smooth straight roads and I don't really need to correct any more than I did before swapping wheels. Just feels like I have much wider tires.

Yeah with big dips in the road you are going to notice that the car will turn a bit to the right or left. Just something you cannot avoid. Should not be happening on smooth surfaces though

On smooth flat surfaces (from what I can see) it does track straight and true. I will have to adjust I guess. Thanks.

What I did notice right after the change is that the car turns in much better and can be pushed harder in corners, in fact, it reaches my personal limit (read: enter the pucker) way before its own...

It's as dramatic as the surface, so more dramatic surface, more dramatic effect. It can be pretty huge coming from a "skinny tire" car...Sometimes the "dips" don't look that deep...till you actually stop the car and get out and look up close...

1LE wheels with the Goodyear SC3's are notorious for this issue. I've seen multiple people complain of this and I can attest that it is in fact an issue. I'll be going with PS4S soon and I hear that helps with the problem.

I will have to remember that on my next set. I hear great things about the PS4S.
