R888r 345/30 or 325/30
Recently picked up a zle, it has toyos on it now but the rears need replacing, I will be using the car daily but only drive 6 miles to/from work, with that said I think I’ll stick with the toyo, just curious if anyone’s running a 345/30 r888r in the rear on the stock width wheels?
Also contemplating the 555r2 in the same 345/40, if anybody can chime in Not much made in a wide rear tire that’s extra sticky, but if anybody has any recommendations please chime in, just want to keep the performance there as I will keep these as spares on the trailer for track weekends Thanks all |

If you get NT555r2 just be careful with any aggressive turns with these. For a ZLE it's probably not something you want even though the grip is amazing. I tried to pass a car in a two lane road and the rears were wobbling and swaying left and right. It was terrifying.

345 30 19s that's what I'm running other than noise and price I love them.
I will probably try the KUMHO 355 30 19s next to quiet down the noise.

Was thinking about getting some for mine. I keep hearing these things whine, but how noisy are they? The way people talk it’s like you can’t hear yourself think.

Agree, no "wobbling" here. Very happy so far, running 345/30R19 in the rear with 305/30R19 PS4S on the front.

Since they are drag radials I'm assuming the handling aspect is tooken away a bit to be more suited for straight line grip. |

The r888r are pretty noisy around 40, it’s not that bad, I can stand it and am not annoyed by it, I asked my fiancé about he noise and she said “is that what that is, it’s not that bad” so I’ll probably do toyos again, just gotta decide on the size

I'm getting a set of Welds and am looking for tires. The guy at Welds told me to not be more that 1/2" in difference in overall tire diameter or the computer might not like it. I noticed you are almost and inch shorter in the front. Any computer issues?

I'm the same diameter as stock (+0.4% front and -0.4% rear) aka 0.1"

I found this R888R thread and wanted to hear how they are working for you guys?
I've purchased R888R rears, 325/30R19, and have two weeks to decide whether to keep or return them. I'll do a 2-day T&T next weekend at the end of two weeks. My current plan is to use them on open roads and at the strip. Several modified Lambos weighing 3500# race them here. I did some nannies-off 60-130 today and didn't feel them spin [like 4S] or vibrate [like MT]. Very impressive, but I did hear a little bit of tread noise even over a loud exhaust. I've considered ordering the 555RII for drag strip use and use the Toyos around town.

No not at all. I have been running 555r2's for a while now and you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from a high performance street tire far as regular street use. At the track I wouldn't expect them to corner as well but they are a very well behaved tire on the street. My guess is he has a issue somewhere else.
