To me it seems as though it’s purpose is redirecting more air to the CAI, I’m wondering if someone took that off would it be a big difference?

I ask this as I’ve learned that I don’t have mine and wanna see if $30 to buy it and taking the bumper off is worth to reinstall it

I found one of the first pictures of the engine bay I took when I got the car and it’s not there, have I been missing out on gains for years? I’ve been tuned without one as well so if I were to buy it and install I’d retune as well if it’s worth it

without it you are basically a warm air intake since you'll just be sucking in engine compartment air. not sure how much that will matter though given the location

Obviously cooler air is always better, but for some they will trade a couple horsepower for better sound or whatever.

I have K&N CAI, I think it still gets most the air from the front but I’ll buy it and install to see if there’s any difference anyways
